The first Cultural Conference took place in May 2024 and will continue annually going forward. The event is a way to communicate to you what we are working on but also an opportunity to network and upskill.
Vintage on Sea
June 2025
Community Volunteers have been upskilling in event management and programming to develop this fabulous community festival that celebrates the seaside heritage of Sutton on Sea. The next event will take place June 2025.

Paint the Town
Spring 2025
Spring 2025 will see some fantastic new murals adorn various places in Sutton on Sea.
Boston Guildhall Exhibition Development
2025
Providing Boston Guildhall with new museum standard display cabinets, allowing them to attract touring collections while also displaying items never seen before from Boston Borough Council’s own collection.
Box Clever Theatre
2025
Box Clever Theatre are delivering their Mark the Marked schools programme to 20 primary schools in our sub-region. An opportunity for pupils to work alongside theatre professionals and create their own story.
Old Bollingbroke – Eyes and Imaginations
2025
Engaging residents of the village in the production of creative works exploring the site’s medieval and post-medieval history. This project will incorporate residents’ sense of self and community identity in relation to the spaces they inhabit and their heritage.
Coastal Soundwalk
2025
Take a walk along Sutton on Sea coast and hear the sounds and stories of the Lincolnshire Coastline at listening points along the way. This piece of work, which reflects on the natural landscape and people’s connection to it, is led by local artist Harriet Plewis.
Ayscoughfee Enlightenment: An 18th Century Pleasure Gardens Revival

Boston Brilliance
14th-15th Feb 2025
Discover Boston with a whole new brilliance on 14th and 15th February 2025! Projections developed by Boston College students will light up the town. Heritage sites and stories will be illuminated and seen in a different light. Visit Boston Brilliance | Discover Boston (boston-england.co.uk)
Artist in Residence

In early 2025 we will be calling out for an Artist in Residence to bring our heritage stories to life, using new innovative digital technology.
South Holland Centre AV Club
2025
New year 2025 will see the launch of this new youth club aimed at teaching the skills and knowledge needed for behind the scenes work with in theatres and productions.
Heritage Associates
Feb-March 2025
In this unique partnership with Ayscoughfee Hall and the Spalding Gentlemen’s Society we have been able to offer internships for young people interested in developing their skills in museum management and creative story telling.
Heritage Match Making Project

Launching early 2025, this exciting new project is aimed at stimulating conversations between heritage venues and local artists. Cultural Audit

Thank you so much to everyone who has participated in our Cultural Audit workshops. We look forward to sharing the report and the findings in winter 2024.
Cultural Frameworks

We are working together with Tom Flemming Associates to develop Cultural Frameworks for our areas with an overall Executive Summary linking the areas together. Our Culture Board will be key ambassadors for our frameworks.
Story of Change

JEM Associates are our National Portfolio Organisation evaluation partner. They are creating a Story of Change for our programme so we can effectively evaluate what work has been successful and areas for improvement.
Future of the Past
Ongoing
Future of the Past looks at engaging the next generation of museum workers and volunteers. Working with young people aged 11 – 25, this project seeks to engage young people to creatively interact with the heritage sector.
Illuminate
Ongoing
Supporting our partners, Transported, to continue to develop the Illuminate parade in Boston, to allow more community workshops and wider engagement in the programme.
Sutton Stories
Ongoing
Celebrating the unique culture in Sutton on Sea through a community storytelling project. A film will be developed as a centre piece for the project, which will include footage from Sutton on Sea from the 1930s onwards alongside new artworks and soundscapes.
