Resources for Creative Heritage Storytelling

Making magic happen by using the arts to celebrate our heritage stories.

Story Tellers and the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership are delighted to be working with Arts&Heritage, an agency that forges collaborations between heritage, communities and artists across the country.

This partnership allows us to matchmake artists and practitioners with heritage sites. Creating collaborations which highlight artists creativity while boosting the profile of heritage sites.

We are dedicated to look at ways to encourage heritage organisations to work with artists to creatively tell their stories. If you are a practitioner or heritage site who would like to be a part of this project you can request to be added to our directory here.

There are also lots of resources you may find useful if you sign up to the Arts&Heritage resource hub, where you can access free Case Studies, Tools, How to Guides and Templates to support your collaborative projects.

Artists & Practitioners

  • William Lindley

I am a visual artist and I primarily create drawings and animated films. I enjoy working with historic sites and heritage, opening sites up to new interpretations and often work in collaboration with communities and other partners. In Lincolnshire I have recently delivered projects in Spilsby, Horncastle, Boston and Sleaford.

  • Joanna Pass

I'm a printmaker and illustrator with a love for creating British wildlife and nature inspired illustrative artwork. Recently I've been collaborating with East Mercia Rivers Trust, as part of their Riverscape Enhancement Project, to deliver window displays, workshops, activity sheets, colouring books and a 'look and find' book.

Heritage Organisations

  • Horncastle History & Heritage Society

Founded as the town's civic society in 1966, we've evolved into a charity dedicated to historic Horncastle. We offer a comprehensive programme of walks and talks throughout the year. We also promote and help with local community initiatives like the Horncastle Horse Fair, working with artists and other heritage organisations.
