Spectacular after-dark experience to transform Ayscoughfee Gardens this March

This March, Ayscoughfee hall Museum & Gardens will be transformed after dark as Shifting Perspectives brings a magical light experience to Spalding.

Taking place on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March, the event invites visitors to explore the gardens from 6pm to 9pm, as colour, reflection and light re-shapes the gardens. Designed to encourage curiosity and discovery, Shifting Perspectives offers a chance to see Ayscoughfee in an entirely new way, noticing details, textures and viewpoints that might otherwise go unseen.

As you wander through the illuminated gardens, digital light installations respond to the site’s unique character, highlighting architectural details and natural elements.

The historic house of Ayscoughfee Hall provides a dramatic backdrop, while winding routes, ancient yew trees and the war memorial become part of a gently unfolding story of light, heritage and place.

The experience is suitable for all ages and offers a welcoming environment to explore together, whether you’re visiting as a family, with friends or on your own.

Building on the success of the much-loved Light Night events in 2024 and 2025, Shifting Perspectives continues to show how creative experiences can help people connect with their local and familiar spaces in fresh and meaningful ways.

About the artists
